CLGK News NATIONAL OPEN Our next tournament, the National Open, will be held on Sunday, August 22nd, at George Dunne National Golf Course located at 16310 S. Central in Oak Forest. Tee times start at 9:00 a.m. The format will be four person best two balls net and the cost is $53 to walk and $68 to ride. A grill lunch will be included after 9 holes compliments of CLGK. If you have not already signed up for this tournament, registration deadline is this coming Saturday, August 14th. HAPPY NEWS We have happy news to share with you. Ray and Nicki Simokaitis recently became the proud grandparents of a sweet little girl. Amelia Gabriella Simokaitis was born to Tom and Magda on July 29, 2010. She weighed in at a dainty 4 lbs., 14 oz. and was 17” long. Baby, parents, big brother and grandparents are all doing fine. Our congratulations to the family. SALFASS If you are planning, or even thinking about going to Canada for SALFASS, you should make hotel reservations as soon as possible. There are only a few rooms left with this group rate and there is no guarantee of group rates after the block is gone. Individual registration forms are available on our club website and should be sent in by 8/15 or as soon as possible. If you plan on playing in SALFASS, let Ed Dumblauskas or Ramune Dagys know so the club knows who will be participating. ILLINOIS STATE AMATEUR Paul Dagys shot 79-70=149 in two rounds of the Illinois State Amateur on August 10th and 11th at Beverly Country Club. He finished 43rd out of 130 contestants, just two shots out of the final 36 hole cut. Membership Dues Club dues of $40 adults, $10 juniors 15 to 18 years, under 15 years free, can be paid at anytime but must be paid prior to June 1st.
